Carolyn Friend, Psy.D.
Dr. Friend's down-to-earth approach seeks to broaden self-knowledge and awareness. Whether facilitating seminars, training graduate students, or treating individuals, she understands that impacting "real life" experiences requires an in-depth understanding of personality. As co-creator of Associates for Life's Challenges, Dr. Friend's vision draws on her background as a therapist, educator, and seminar facilitator. As Diagnostic Supervisor at Forest Health Care Systems, and adjunct faculty at the Adler School of Professional Psychology, she broadened a lifelong interest in passing on knowledge. Dr. Friend holds a Masters of Art in Teaching of Reading and has classroom experience. Dr. Friend is also a member of the professional staff at Columbia / HCA Chicago Lakeshore Hospital. Dr. Friend has found a rewarding way to contribute to the greater community through her instrumental role as Chairperson of the Anshe Emet Synagogue Youth Committee - a program that has received national recognition. Dr. Friend holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology.
